What is a Death Doula?
Doulas have been around for centuries.
The word can be traced back to ancient Greece and it translates to 'of service'.
Some cultures call it a Death Walker or even a Death Midwife, whatever the name, the role is still the same. A non-medical support through life's transitions.
Some focus on births, some focus on major life changes and some focus on the outgoing journey, working with the dying, respecting their wishes as they approach end of life.
Supporting you and your loved ones
at the end of life.
A doulas role can be quite broad and they offer a wide range of services.
A package can be tailored to your individual needs in a free 1 hour consultation.

Administrative Support
The legal documents needed at the end of life can be confusing and even overwhelming.
We can assist you with terminology, accessing information and explaining options, so you can decide what steps to take next.
Every stage has more paperwork and a doula is there to help you with this.
Your Journey
Your doula will sit with you, listen to you, talk over your concerns and discuss options. They can facilitate conversations with others and support you to discuss your plans with those around you.
The role is non-medical but a doula is there to help you navigate the medical world and advocate for you and your plan.
Emotional and spiritual support are always provided.
Care Coordination
Scheduling care around various appointments, medication times, care-givers who also need to be present with their own families and/or work can seem like an overwhelming task. We can assist you to schedule a plan and cater to the needs of all those involved.
